Meet the Team

The Weatherly Family
Founders

Our owners, The Weatherly Family (Cierra & Michael w/children Sienna & Mylan and their cute little Boston Terrier Mia) have been longtime residents of neighboring Nelson County and now split time between Virginia Beach (and our farm winery in Rockbridge). The family enjoys travel and has been to Europe every year since 2005 and loves all things European. When the COVID lockdown halted their international travel, they began searching for land and adventure in the mountains and discovered our farm at Skyline Meadows.  When the Weatherly’s saw the farm, they knew this was like that final piece of Europe, here at home, tucked away quietly and peacefully in our very own Shenandoah Valley. Most days they are head down working diligently on the property to prepare future award winning wines and an overall amazing customer experience for our guests. Feel free to say hi if you see them out and about!

Mark McCune
Vineyard Manager

Mark McCune was born, raised, and currently resides in Augusta County, VA. Mark grew up helping his father, Mike, grandfather, Bobby, and brother, Adam raise and maintain a cattle farm. Right out of high school Mark started his viticulture career at Barren Ridge Vineyards. While at Barren Ridge Mark fulfilled the roles of Assistant Winemaker and Vineyard Manager learning and working closely with the Higgs Family, Walt Henschel, Chris Hill, Jesse Gatewood, Tim Jordan, as well as many other influential people. Mark brings over fourteen years of knowledge and experience in viticulture; having trained from those throughout the state as well as achieving certifications through PVCC. One of Mark’s accomplishments includes being part of the team that was in the Governor’s Case. Mark is excited to help manage and grow the soon to be 20 acres of young vines at Eccos Adesso.

Apart from being in the vineyard and taking top notch care of the vines Mark enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife, Shelby, and their three dogs, Dotty, Eddie, and Ally.

Kati Brantley
Level 2 Sommelier

Kati Brantley, our Level 2 Sommelier, received her wine education through the Court of Master Sommeliers, finishing in 1998. Through the past 25 years, she has worked in cellars, hotels and restaurants, in wine education, hospitality training, and culinary science. She has traveled to many of the wine regions of the world, “sipping and studying” her way through Europe, Eastern Europe, California, the Pacific Northwest, and other locales. As a wine educator, her goal is to “demystify” wine, make pairing easy, and eliminate “wine-timidation” by offering accessible, approachable, fun tasting sessions to wine lovers of every level of experience.
