2023 Ecco Adesso 5K & 10K w/ Bishop’s Events Benefiting Vet First, Inc.

Join us for our Second Annual 5K & 10K Race with Bishop’s Events at Ecco Adesso Vineyards! Bishop’s Events was launched in 2011 with the mission of giving back to others by providing local runners with high quality races that benefit local and national charity organizations. Ecco Adesso and Vet First Inc. are teaming up with Bishop’s Events for our November Race to support Vet First’s veteran employment efforts and mission to end hunger through local farms. 

For each race, Bishop’s Events will be giving Vet First Inc. 25% of all profits. Vet First is a non-profit that provides employment to local Veterans and ties together agriculture with giving back to the community. Vet First is near and dear to Ecco Adesso Vineyards as we currently have a farm location on site at the winery where crops and produce are maintained by Veterans and donated to the local community. 

Participate in this amazing cause and enjoy hospitality from our beautiful, countryside winery! We will have craft beer, selected wines, cider, and light fare offered on site. Runners receive 1 Glass of Wine from Ecco Adesso, Finisher Medal, Technical (Dri-fit) Event Shirt, and a Chip Timed Event. The race will begin at 10am. Charity Information
Benefiting Vet First. Vet First hires our nation’s Veterans to grow organically sustainable food to give back to those in need in our local community. In our first year of operations in 2021, we donated 1,000 pounds of food to local foodbanks and organizations.

5k – 10:15am

Registration Fees
5k – $35, until Oct 15 ($40)
10k – $50, until Oct 15 ($55)
***Price will increase on race morning by $5 for each distance
T-shirts guaranteed to runners registered before Oct 25. We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but it is on a first-come first-served basis.

Live Race Results
Live results will be posted on Athlinks.com. Additionally, there will be a QR code at the race for you to scan to immediately view your results. Final race results with series points will be posted to our website on the Monday following your race.

Awards
We award the top 3 men and women overall during our awards ceremony post-race. We also award the 1st Male and Female in these categories: 19&Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, & 70+. Runners who place top 3 overall in their race are not eligible to also win their age groups.

Photos
We will post any photos taken by staff on our Facebook page by Tuesday after the event.

Social Media Challenge
On Tuesdays, we pick our favorite Instagram or Facebook post from the previous race weekend. The winner will receive 50% off a future race! Make sure to tag us in your race photos at:

Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is available at the event. We recommend arriving one hour before your event start time to check-in.

Race Day Registration
There will be race day registration. Participants will need to arrive approximately one hour before the race to register for the event. T-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for race day registers.
***Price will increase on race morning by $5 for each distance

Water Stations
Five water stations will be along the 10k course at approximately mile markers 1.1, 2, 3.1, 4.2 & 5.2. Two water stations will be along the 5k course at approximately mile markers 1.1 & 2. Gatorade will be available at some water stations. Water stations are subject to change as deemed necessary.

Restrooms
Restrooms can be located in the winery.

Weather Policy
Weekly weather reports are posted on the Thursday before race weekends on our Facebook page by Chad Merrill with the Hagerstown Almanack. Race officials may delay, change or postpone the event due to weather conditions. All registered runners will be notified via email of any changes. In most cases, a decision is not made until the night before the race, and a decision could come as late as the morning of the event.
